As a valued Progress Podiatry client, your health and safety are of the utmost importance to us. We hope you are in good health and staying safe through this period. We are working to keep people safe through the COVID-19 crisis and have been implementing rigorous infection control strategies according to government recommendations whilst maintaining standards for safe practice.
I want you to know we are still providing the podiatry service and products you rely on. We are still OPEN and ESSENTIAL. We are operating unless otherwise advised by the Australian Government.
Progress Podiatry has been implementing the following procedures at the clinics:
- Increased cleaning of touch points and surfaces in clinic waiting areas and treatment rooms
- All staff wear masks
- Clinicians wear masks and gloves
- Availability of hand sanitiser for patients to use
- Social distancing procedures in line with government policy – minimal chairs and persons in waiting area, increased waiting area to outside, essential persons only in clinical rooms (no extras)
- Those with flu or cold-like symptoms must postpone their appointment
- All clinical touch points in treatment rooms are cleaned between patients
- Increased ventilation of the clinic where possible
- Thorough cleaning of hands before patient contact
- Use of a hospital grade disinfectant proven to kill novel coronavirus
- Availability of a mask for the patient if desired
